Hatha Yoga Classes at Fresh Ground in Battersea

Our focus is yoga for health and well-being, our teachers are warm and inclusive and our classes varied and interesting.

In all our classes you’ll learn about yoga, its poses, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques. You’ll work through some poses in depth to build strength, whilst others will be in sequences that flow to generate fitness. At other times we’ll be still too. You won’t get overly hot and sweaty, our style is more about helping to you to work gently with your body and develop the inner glow that shines when you feel good about yourself.

Our classes are fairly soulful, yoga is a holistic practice, we include a sprinkling of philosophy and mythology which makes for a well-rounded class.

Choose from three weekly classes and remember our introductory offer of 2 for £15.00.

Beginners Yoga Classes – Tuesday evenings, 6:15 – 7:15 pm. Ideal if you are a completely new or returning yogi and are looking for a really good grounding in the foundations.

Intermediate Yoga Classes – Tuesday evenings, 7:30 – 8:45 pm. A progressive class for those with good self-awareness and a solid yoga foundation. Expect some more challenging poses and the opportunity to practice meditation and deep relaxation at some point each term.

All Levels Yoga Classes – Friday mornings, 9:15 – 10:30 am. For new and long term yogis alike this class is enjoyable and varied. You’ll be encouraged to work at a pace and challenge level that is right for you, whatever your yoga experience.

We have teamed up with Hannah Brown of Holistic Body Focus to offer you pilates classes and now a Post Natal Pilates class too.

Experiencing both yoga and pilates in your week adds variety and depth to your exercise routine and another dimension to your health and well-being. Yoga and Pilates are highly complementary; together they offer you a balance of body, health and well-being benefits.

Meet Your Teachers

Meet yoga teacher Claire Plastow. Claire has 18 years of personal yoga practice and a two year, 500-hour, British Wheel of Yoga Level 4 Diploma in Teaching Hatha Yoga. She has a fairly soulful teaching style brings a depth of knowledge and experience to every class.

Meet pilates teacher Hannah. Hannah has BA in Dance Theatre and qualified as a fully Comprehensive Pilates teacher with the Pilates Foundation in 2011. She covered in-depth training in both mat and machine-based work over an 18-month full-time course. Hannah has a holistic approach to fitness, pilates is at the core of her classes.
