Last updated:  17 May 2018

About the Feeling Yogaful Data Protection Policy and Privacy Policy

Our data protection policy and privacy policy explains what personal information we ask you for and why. It also explains how we manage your data and how you can access it.

When you register yourself with us we only ask for personal data that is appropriate to delivering our services to you and that helps us to fulfil our professional obligations to you. As part of delivering a professional service, of which safeguarding your data is a part, we have chosen to use services providers whose professional standards and security measures are some of the best in their field.

We have ensured that our data protection policy and privacy policy meets lawful requirements and the yoga principles of Right Action.

About Personal Data Collected When Creating a Feeling Yogaful Account

A certain amount of personal data is collected by Feeling Yogaful when you open an account on our online purchasing and reservation system. This is for the purposes of contacting you about the services you have purchased, for your health and safety during yoga sessions, to tailor yoga sessions to individual requirements, to help us understand how you came to know about us and to enable us to meet legal and insurance company criteria.

All information gathered by Feeling Yogaful’s online booking process is treated as confidential and will not be shared with a third party. Your personal data is kept securely in our online purchasing and registrations system, the TeamUp Online Management System (see their Privacy Policy www.goteamup.com), and only viewed by Claire Plastow and the regular teacher of the session or service for which you have registered.

When a stand-in teacher has been employed to teach a feeling Yogaful class you may be asked to give a brief verbal overview of your health profile to that teacher during that class. No record of the information you give at that time will be retained.

You may update or correct your account information and email preferences at any time by logging in to your TeamUp account and changing your account and profile settings. If you wish to alter any of your data, review how it is used or wish to request its return to you, please contact Claire Plastow at claire@feelingyogaful.uk or on 07917 367232.

You may decline to submit personally identifiable information to Feeling Yogaful, in which case the ability of Feeling Yogaful to provide certain services to you may be restricted.

What Personal Data We Collect and How We Use It

When creating an account online you will be asked to provide your full name and email address, to complete a health profile, give an emergency contact’s name and phone number and accept our terms of business. In doing so you are agreeing to your email address being used by Feeling Yogaful to inform you of class changes and service updates that directly relate to the service you have registered for. You are also agreeing to Feeling Yogaful using your health profile data to advise you of any concerns they have about your health and safety in their classes.

You may decline to submit personally identifiable information to Feeling Yogaful, in which case the ability of Feeling Yogaful to provide certain services to you may be restricted.

Purchasing Our Services Online and Your Data

We use Stripe to process the payments you make through our online booking system. Stripe has been audited by an independent PCI Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and is certified a PCI Level 1 Service Provider. That is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.

Using Stripe means that we do not see or store the data (card details, account numbers etc.) that you enter to make your purchases from us. Our online booking services generates a purchasing history for you that we store to fulfil our accounting, legal and insurance obligations.

Feeling Yogaful Emailing List

When you purchase a service from us you will be invited to join our emailing list. You have the ability to opt-in at this point, and subsequently subscription preferences may be changed by you at any time.

Direct marketing emails informing you of new, future or alternative services we may provide are sent through a secure permission-based email system called MailChimp (see their Privacy Policy at www.mailchimp.com).

If you are not purchasing services from us but chose to opt-in to our emailing list directly your subscription preferences may also be changed by you at any time.

Emergency Contact Information

Emergency Contact information is collected solely for use in an emergency. Feeling Yogaful may need to contact your next of kin or give this information to the emergency services. This is the only information that would be shared with a third party, and only in the context of an emergency.

Requesting the Return of Your Personal Data and Retention of Your Personal Data

When you request that we return your personal data to you and once we have returned it we will delete if from our systems unless we are required to retain it for legitimate legal or insurance purposes. Some personal information may be retained to fulfil legal and insurance obligations. For example, your purchasing and class attendance history at Feeling Yogaful is retained indefinitely.
